Christian Education Commisson
Supports and fosters the Christian education programs, including selection and
ordering of curriculum, recruitment, training and development of Sunday School
Teachers and youth leaders, sponsoring workshops for teacher education and program
feedback, supports youth leaders and mission projects, and coordinates yearly
Vacation Bible School.
Fellowship Commission
Oversees the Christian welcome to prospective members and assists with the assimilation
of new members into the life of the congregation. Nurtures the spiritual growth
and personal relationships of the congregation, their families, and the community
by providing opportunities for Christian fellowship through intergenerational
activities, in cooperation with the Church's other groups.
Outreach & Concern Commission
Provides the congregation with an awareness of the total mission work of the Presbyterian
Church locally, nationally, and internationally. Guides the church in its response
to human needs and social problems external t o the congregation, and challenges
the congregation to become involved in solving social problems by sharing their
time, talents, and money.
Stewardship Commission
Responsible for maintaining a year-round awareness of the role of stewardship
in fulfilling members' commitment to the church, and coordinating the annual Stewardship
Campaign.
Worship & Music Commission
Provides places and occasions for worship that offer the appropriate climate for
worshipping Christ: not only in the sanctuary, but also elsewhere and in small
groups. While valuing worship which offers both the challenge of variety and the
comfort of ritual, the Commission encourages a variety of expressions of praise
and worship through music, sacraments, the spoken and written word, drama, dance,
art, and combinations of these.
